A Bit About Us
"I'm Sarah and I own Total Dog. Having seen a gap in the market I wanted to create a unique experience for dog owners by offering a multi-service establishment here in Worksop. I have over 15 years experience working with a wide range of animals especially dogs, small animal and horses. My forte, though, has been within the animal welfare sector working within rescue centres. Borneholm Dog Rescue & Rehabilitation kick started my career pathway to working with dogs full time and eventually I moved up the career ladder with larger charities such as RAIN Rescue, Thornberry Animal Sanctuary & The RSPCA Doncaster & Rotherham District. I have always practiced positive reinforcement training techniques and have worked with a multiple range of trainers throughout my career. I am Qualified in Animal Management Level 3 and hold my Pet First Aid & CPR certificate. I am also undertaking a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree. I am passionate about holistic therapies and have achieved my Reiki 1 and plan to obtain my Reiki Practitioner status through UK Reiki Federation in 2026. I am qualified in Crystal Healing for Dogs too. I am passionate about customer service and aspire to train and employ outstanding individuals who have the same passion & drive for dogs and their welfare as I do".

A purpose built 'home from home' doggy daycare. Our luxury dog daycare in Worksop offers living room pods for a unique, five star experience. Linking the need for day care with outstanding animal welfare, our dog daycare stands out from the crowd. We pride ourselves on being able to give your dog an outstanding experience while in our care with walks, enrichment, down time and play. We have a large garden and a state of the art sensory room which all of our dogs love. Our team of Canine Companions are qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Animal Management, making this a trusted option for your beloved dog.

We are open Tuesday - Friday 8-6 and have availability to take on new daycare clients.
Offering positive reinforcement dog training across Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire, we are experts in our field. Excelling in 1:1's, puppy & group classes both Sarah & Hattie are on hand to help with your training needs. Sarah prides herself on her holistic therapy approach with anxious and nervous clients (both owner and dog!) and offers a selection of workshops which cover holistic training. She LOVES socialising and working with off lead & recall while Hattie prides herself on her knowledge of behaviour, anxiety and more complex cases alongside loose lead walking, puppy training and group classes. There isn't anything we can't help with.

Our established dog grooming salon in Worksop, Bassetlaw has been building a client base for well over 3 years. It is ran and managed by Alyssia, who has a wealth of knowledge in her field. Offering a wide range of treatments and grooms with highly experienced groomers we really do stand out as a chosen salon in Worksop.
Alyssia holds her Learning & Assessor qualification to City & Guilds standard meaning she can train our student groomers and take them on their journey to being qualified. Want to train to be a Dog Groomer? We are more than happy to discuss starting your training journey with you.

We do both in-house training through our own training programme or can take you down the City & Guilds route. We are happy to explore each option with you and tailor your training to your needs. We are always searching for driven, passionate individuals who are keen to learn the trade. Having noticed a huge impact in the way anxious, reactive, nervous and traumatised dogs learn, Sarah discovered a need to calmly heal these dogs BEFORE introducing positive reinforcement training. By healing the nervous system, rebalancing their energy centres and giving them a clear mindset they can then embrace learning those new skills we all want them to learn. The Harmonising Bond Method™ was born and now Sarah combines her passion for holistic treatment alongside positive reinforcement training to give your dog the best opportunity to succeed with their learning.
Tracking Dog UK - Qualified Instructor
Tracking is an excellent sport to start if you’re looking to meet your dog’s needs in a way that goes beyond typical home enrichment activities and daily walks. It taps into your dog’s natural scenting instincts, providing both mental and physical stimulation while helping them build focus, confidence, and independence. Undertaking a tracking course with us will give new skills, new ideas and open a whole new world to you and your dog.
